It’s 4pm on a Thursday and a hundred of your fellow employees are just finishing up a long dayÌýcleaning acres of community park land. The park authority was extremely gracious, making sure everyone was hydrated and got theirÌýfree t-shirt, and … that was kind of it. People certainly seemed to enjoy themselves. Great work was done. Transformative Volunteerism

Transformative volunteerism occurs when aÌývolunteer experiences facing an organizational or societal problem and can leave feeling like they were part of a solution. These transformative experiences create a sense of accomplishment and a sense of awakening. They don’t justÌýofferÌýaha!Ìýmoments; they actively promote them.
